Bodhi Batak hails from the Lintong growing region near the shores of Lake Toba. Batak is a collective term used to identify numerous ethnic groups predominantly found in northern Sumatra. This type of coffee is sometimes referred to as Blue Batak due to the emerald blue color of the un-roasted coffee. Bodhi Batak is one of the cleanest and most meticulously prepared Sumatra coffee you can find. The result is a syrupy body and wonderfully earthy tones (think pine & tobacco) balanced with a healthy dose of berry-like acidity. A wonderful coffee that will change your preconceived notions of what Sumatra coffees are like.
